About US
Matkins Meat, Inc. was founded in 1956 by Leonard Matkins and Associates. His son Jerry, has been running the business for 40+ years. Matkins Meats, Processors, Inc. proudly celebrated our 50 year anniversary in 2006.

Matkins Meats is a slaughter and processing facility. Cows, Pigs, Sheep, Goat, Buffalo, Beefalo, Water Buffalo, Ostrich, Emu, & Deer are our specialty...
We accept animals for slaughtering Monday - Thursday 8 am - 3 pm, no appointment needed but call first please..

Our sausages include: Mild / Mild Extra Sage, Hot / Hot Extra Sage, Sweet / Hot / Zesty Italian, Bratz / Garlic Bratz, Chorizo, Maple, Kielbasa & Anduille Links are charged according to the quantity used.

In addition to slaughtering & processing, another department is the production of Matkins Chili. It is one of a kind. It's great heated by itself, on hot dogs, as spagetti meat sauce, on tacos, or with beans in it. It is so meaty....you're gonna love it...!!! (See our recipes!!)

Chili Prices: $2.50/1 pound - $45.00 per case of 18 - wholesale
$7.50/5 pound - $30.00 per case of 4 - wholesale

$50 slaughter fee - Cows
$85 slaughter fee - Buffalo
$35 slaughter fee for all remaining animals except for scalding hogs. It is $.20/pound with a $35 minimum.

For processing, vacuum packing and flash freezing,
$.65/lb no label
$.70/lb with label
Additional USDA fee for Buffalo.
You may get patties and link sausage for an additional fee.
Deer $50 to process - $25 to remove skin

We are off of Highway 87 North between Burlington and Reidsville, NC behind Biker's Station.

From Greensboro take 29 North to Brown Summit. Take a left a the first stop sign and a right at the second stop sign. You are now on 150. You will travel 7.3 miles without turning again to Troxler Mill Road and take a left. In 3.1 miles take a right on Kerr Chapel Road and in .8 miles on the right you are at Matkins Meats

From I85 take exit 141. If you were traveling north take a left / south take a right and go to the traffic light at Chick Filet & Applebees take a left and go 1.1 miles to St Mark's Church Road take a right. Go 4 miles to highway 87. At the traffic light go left for 8.5 miles. You will see Biker's Station (white building with orange trim) on the left, turn left and we are behind Biker's Station.

Hours of Operation
7 am - 3:30 pm Closed all holidays that the Post Office is closed.
