Suzanne and Matthew Holt started Mystic Farm with a simple herb garden and it has evolved over the past seven years, and we continue to grow. We had become increasingly frustrated with our lack of connection to the land and felt far removed from what we put on the table. Four years ago we turned to farming as our full-time profession. Farming is not an easy job, but it is something we love and believe in very strongly; it is our life-style as well as our careers.
We use organic and biodynamic growing methods; we use absolutely not chemicals whatsoever (no artificial fertilizers, fundicides, insecticides, herbicides). We manage an old orchard with over three hundred blueverry bushes and a variety of fruit-bearing trees. We have a small honey operation consisting of 12 hives (we do not heat process before bottling).
We also have value-added products such as herbal soaps, herbal bath/body products (all handmade by ourselves), as well as jams and pickle products; we sell locally as well as through mail order. We also offer a CSA providing fruit/berries.
broccoli, carrots, cucumber, eggplant, garlic, green beans, green onions, hot peppers, leeks, lettuce, mushrooms, okra, onions, peas, potatoes, salad greens, sweet peppers, squash (winter/summer), apples, asian pears, blackberries, blueberries, figs, grapes, peaches, pears, persimmons, plums, strawberries, shallots, spinach, sweet corn, tomatillos, tomatoes, honey, preverves, soap, dried/fresh herb, gourds, firewood, and CSA.
