Located in the lovely rolling hills of northeast Randolph County, our working farm is rich in the diversity of pastures, ponds, meadows, gardens, woodlands, wildlife and livestock. Using sustainable agriculture, we work with nature to enrich rather than deplete our environment. We intentionally limit the size of our farm operation in order to maintain the personal quality of our products and continue to enjoy what we do everyday. We make approx. 250lbs. of handmade farmstead cheese per week and offer our monthly Dinner At The Dairy.
All our cheeses have a special flavor with subtle qualities found only in local dairies. Goats from our milking herd are chosen based on the flavor and qualities their milk contributes to our cheese. We make several styles of cheese including fresh, spreadable Fromage (in 9 flavors), hand-molded Logs, tangy Feta, Smokey Mountain Round, Marinated Chevre, Chevre Camembert, Crottin, Chevre Taleggio and a raw milk, semi-hard cheese called Gray's Chapel. At Holiday times we make Chocolate Goat Cheese Truffles. We continue to develop new styles.
You can visit Goat Lady Dairy during our twice a year Open House. We offer Dinner At The Dairy monthly. We also offer group tours by advance reservation. You can get details about all these opportunities and directions to the farm from our web site www.goatladydairy.com Sorry we are not open to the public for individual tours.
