Maple View Ice Cream was built overlooking Maple View Farm. A long front porch with 25 rocking chairs faces west. A great place to sit, eat ice cream and watch the sun set. Up on the hill we have 10 picnic tables and a large field. Several times a year we put a round bale there for children to play on. We have opened 2 other locations-1 in Hillsborough at Hampton Pointe and 1 in Carrboro on Weaver Street.
Maple View Ice Cream opened January 1, 2001. We opened with 1 5 gallon batch freezer and soon purchased a 10 gallon batch freezer. All of our ice cream is made in these 2 freezers so we can guarentee the quality of homemade ice cream. We offer a full service ice cream facility, serving scoops, shakes, floats, malts, sundaes and banana splits made with a whole banana. To go, we offer cakes in three sizes, pints - several flavors, 1/2 gallons in Vanilla, Chocolate, Butter Pecan, Cookies & Cream and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.
We make our ice cream on site buying our mix from Maple View Farm Milk Company. Our cows have never been given artifical homones and never will. It is fun and easy to create flavors. We currently have about 50. We have seasonal flavors and 12 flavors we offer all the time, plus 4 flavors we feature every month. Maple View Ice Cream offers a $5.00 Gift Certificate that is a great way to show appreciation to that special friend, relative or professional.
Ice Cream by the scoop, shakes, sundaes, or to go with pints, 1/2 gallons or cakes. Milk, Cream, Our own beef, local eggs, local cheese, local honey, soap made from our own cows' milk and goats' milk.
