Brothers On Farms is Animal Welfare Approved 100% Grass fed certified lamb production farm. Our Pasture Raised Lambs are given no antibiotics, hormones or steroids and no medicated feeds. They are on pasture year round, drink fresh mountain water and breath the crisp mountain air. Our processed lamb is USDA Inspected and sold by halves or cuts.
We have just erected a 32 X70 foot greenhouse where we will be growing assorted culinary herbs, specialty garlic, onions and figs along with a variety of seasonal vegetables. We also grow Shiitake Mushrooms.Shiitake mushrooms are famous for their rich texture and smoky flavor. They are a good source of copper, iron and contain essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals essential for a healthy heart. Right behind copper is pantothenic acid and selenium, which provide 52% and 51% of the daily value, respectively. Riboflavin, niacin, zinc, and manganese play supportive roles, along with ergothioniene, an antioxidant that inhibits oxidative stress. All of our spore comes from a certified organic producer. All are picked fresh daily. Grown in pure mountain forest logs. We do not sell wild foraged mushrooms so you can trust that you are getting a safe controlled mushroom source.
We sell right off the farm and welcome visitors. We do prefer you call ahead 828-389-0941 and if you want a tour of the farm 24 hour notice is preferable but we will try to accommodate you. Come see our beautiful cove nestled in the south western mountains of North Carolina you'll be glad you did!
