The North Carolina Forest Service has been producing tree seedlings for over 75 years for the citizens of our state. Multiple species of both conifers and hardwoods are produced. These seedlings can be used for reforestation, environmental enhancement purposes and wildlife projects.
We are believers in keeping things native. That is why we produce only native or naturalized species. By doing this, we are helping landowners make sure that what they plant is the appropriate material for their location and that it can as successful as it can be.
We are also believers in advancing the potential of commercial species to provide the maximum returns possible to our customers. Important species such as Loblolly pine, Longleaf pine, Shortleaf pine, Eastern White pine and Fraser Fir are continuously being improved by selecting and breeding families that offer the best combination of growth increase and disease resistance.
