Providing Educational Activities and Farm Learning Experiences
Flint Rock Farm's pastoral setting is just outside the small town of Cameron, NC. The 113 acre farm has been in the Graham family (Laura's grandparents) since ancestors moved there from Scotland in 1791. Flint Rock Farm has been recognized as a "North Carolina Century Farm."
When Laura retired from Cameron Elementary School as a Kindergarten and First Grade teacher, she envisioned sharing their farm experience with students who may have never seen goats, horses, donkeys, or chickens nor been on a tractor pulled hay ride.
Preserving their agricultural heritage and integrating N.C.Core Curriculum Objectives for Learning will enable Laura to use her thirty-three years of teaching experience to provide an engaging and rewarding day with fun at Flint Rock Farm. Visit soon and take home a memory1
