Legacy Farms

Preserving the Simple Life.

About US
Legacy Farms is an outdoor activity center. The site features a historical farmhouse dating back into the early 1800's that has been converted into a Bed and Breakfast. Boasting nearly 10,000 square ft full of common areas with large fireplaces, many outdoor courtyards, and most importantly a small working farm. Guests can tour the farm, participate in daily farm activities, collect their own eggs for their omelets for breakfast. They can spend the afternoon harvesting their own organic vegetables in the garden adjacent to the kitchen for dinner. They can also fill their day with outdoor activities including, archery, horseback riding, nature trails, and educational classes on building and maintaining their own self sustainable farm or urban garden space.

Our tours will be open to Schools and churches for field trips, and we will be incorporating a Summer Camp in 2013 geared towards agritourism. Kids will have the opportunity to not only see first hand how the farm works, but will also be able to participate first hand in planting, harvesting, egg collection, and other garden chores. For more advanced classes our nature trails will provide a great eco system tour including beaver dams and undisturbed wildlife habitats.

In addition to our busy calendar the farm also offers a large annual Event Schedule that includes a corn maze and haunted house for halloween, turkey shoots in November, and extensive decorating and hay rides through the lights for Christmas.
