In business since 1979, Garland Truffles is the oldest and first successful grower of truffles in the Western Hemisphere. It is the only nursery in the United States that has grown and sold trees that are in production. Elusive for centuries, cultivating truffles, the gourmet delicacy of France, Italy and Spain, can now be achieved in selected areas around the United States. Large profits can be made on relatively few acres. Mushroom growing experience is not required to grow this crop, however, intensive gardening or farm experience is recommended. We are not a retail facility. Tours are $300 for up to two people and last about four hours. Other fees for consultation can be found on our website.

Take I-40 to Exit 261 (just after 40 splits from 85 after Mebane if coming from the west, just before the split if coming from the east). Turn right off the exit ramp. Go 1/2 mile and turn right onto Davis Road. Go about 7/8 mile and turn right onto Ode Turner Road. Our driveway is 1.1 miles on the right, 3020. Long driveway, come to house at end. We require a signed non-disclosure agreement before the presentation. You will receive books and materials. We accept payment by cash, check, VISA or MasterCard.

Tuesday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Tours are usually on Saturdays
