Lorien Alpacas and Yarn

WNC born and bred alpacas, fine natural fibers and yarns.

About US
We are located in the Western NC Mountains just west of Asheville. We have a small herd of Huacaya Alpacas, all of whom were born in the USA and most in NC and these provide the fiber for our yarn and the compost for our vegetable and small fruit production. We use minimal spray in our operation but are not yet all organic.

We exhibit our Alpacas at Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair, National Alpaca Farm Day, and occasionally at other events and will bring one or two to a school or fair if time permits. We participate in ASAP and bring our fresh produce to Tailgate markets in that system and to any local restaurant seeking fresh locally grown produce in season. We will also teach crochet, loom knitting and needle felting on occasion.
