Four Foot Farm

Sustainable Agriculture: Skills from the past ensuring the future

About US
Located in the Oakland Community of Rutherford County, Four Foot Farm is situated on 78 acres of farm land which has been in the same family for over 100 years. The original farm house, built in 1848, is a lovely example of Federal architecture with a southern style veranda across the front offering views of the front pasture and vegetable gardens. Dogwoods, crepe myrtles, magnolias, azaleas, and old growth oaks provide a profusion of seasonal interest.

Currently run by business partners Jill Maner and Paula Wilson, Four Foot Farm produces rabbits, poultry, eggs, goats, goat products, cut flowers, bedding plants, transplants and a variety of vegetables all grown using sustainable methods. Our produce is grown on land which has been fallow for over fifty years. We strive to provide our clients with a variety of current favorites, heirloom standbys, and European imports.

We market our produce and cut flowers through FootHills Connect's Virtual Farmers' Fresh Market to restaurants in Charlotte, N.C., Foothills Connect Farmers' Tailgate Market in Rutherford County and the tailgate markets in Columbus, and Tryon, N.C. as well as from our own on site produce stand which is open afternoons from 2pm to 8pm.
