Peacefull Getaway in the country with good muscadine wine
" In 2003 the Suggs sisters inherited forty five acres of land from their parents. Although the property had cotton on it, the sisters wondered if there might be a better use. Sheila remembers, "We were cleaning the ditch bank trying to keep the place as attracgtive as possible, and we said, 'If we could just get rid of some of these grapes vines...' Then, we stopped and looked at each other." Her sister, Amy laughs, "That's the moment we lost our minds."
Since native muscadine vines grew wild on the property, Amy and Sheila became convinced that they could establish a commerical vineyard. Our history goes back 90 years to our Uncle Pink.
We also have a wonderful 3-bedroom inn upstairs over the gift shop and wine tasting areas. The rooms all have hardwood floors, ceiling fans, private luxury baths and lots of space and all the peace and quite you can handle.
To honor our mother, who was an artist, we exhitib work of artist from all over the state. The tasting room also serves as a gallery." Joseph Mills and Danielle Tarmey "A guide to North Carolina's Wineries
