NEWS FLASH: THE First annual "CLEAR MOUNTAIN VIEW MUSIC FESTIVAL" will be AUG 23-25TH,2012. Go to elliottfarmevents@gmail.com for updates. Last year's "HERITAGE DAYS"-Antique Tractor and Engine Show was another BIG SUCCESS. It was held the first week-end in October 2011. Several thousand people of all ages were in attendance. Last year we featured our 2ND annual TRACTOR PULL and will continue with another year this year! The spectators watched as molasses were made on location, along with home made apple butter, a Turn of the Century -Agri-Farm Display, hay rides pulled by a beauty team of horses, crafts, antique tractors, hit and miss engines, an old general store, black smith shop, corn grinding, restored and decorated log cabins, in season vegetables; all while enjoying a scenic country side view of the Foothills of the South Mountains & Blue Ridge Mountains. Our home made saw mill has proved to be benificial as we have erected an Outdoor stage for entertainment and have Hand crafted Cedar furniture to view and sell. Unique for the kids, we had a specially designed hay maze, petting zoo, face painting, and many other activities throughout the day! The children enjoyed a scavenger hunt, as they also learned the names of many items used by families in the "Olden Days." Many had their picture made with a "I SPENT THE DAY AT ELLIOTT FAMILY FARM" display in the background. Vendors and exhibitors were a delight, as the crowd of folks wandered around and visited their displays. We had demostrations on how to spin yarn on a spinning wheel, basket weaving, pottery making, a unique herb garden,as well as displays on how antique farming equipment and implements were used on the farms years ago. Looking forward to this year as we continue on with our "Turn of the Century" project, with the Lord's blessings.

WE ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE HAVE BEEN AWARDED THE "GOODNESS GROWS IN NORTH CAROLINA" logo for our molasses we produce on our farm. Last year's events were a success with several thousand in attendance. This years special events at "HERITAGE DAYS" hopefully will be BIGGER AND BETTER. We are a 4th Generation Farm Family interested in keeping the art of molasses making alive for the coming generations to appreciate. You can witness first hand how we take the cane and follow the cooking process from start to finish as molasses are made. While you're there you can tour the "Turn of the Century" farm site and enjoy the beautiful country side while also visiting Mt. Harmony United Methodist Church & Cemetary which is located approximately 1/2 mile from our farm.
Lots of mouth-watering food available. Molasses, apple butter, Barbeque, slow smoked chicken, ice cream made on a hit-and-miss engine, fresh baked goods and canned goods are just some of what to expect. ALL WELCOME, COME ONE AND ALL AND BRING YOUR FRIENDS.
