"HERITAGE DAYS"- Antique Tractor and Engine Show. October 3rd & 4th, 2009. Come one, come all! See molasses made on location, home made apple butter, a Turn of the Century -Agri-Farm Display, crafts, antique tractors, hit and miss engines, an old general store, black smith shop, corn grinding, restored and decorated log cabins, in season vegetables; all while enjoying a scenic country side view of the Foothills of the South Mountains & Blue Ridge Mountains. Unique for the kids, we will have a specially designed hay maze, petting zoo,face painting, and many other activities throughout the day!

Last year's events were a success with more than 1,500 in attendance. This years special events at "HERITAGE DAYS" hopefully will be BIGGER AND BETTER. We are a 4th Generation Farm Family interested in keeping the art of molasses making alive for the coming generations to appreciate. You can witness first hand how we take the cane and follow the cooking process from start to finish as molasses are made. While you're there you can tour the "Turn of the Century" farm site and enjoy the beautiful country side while also visiting Mt. Harmony United Methodist Church & Cemetary which is located approximately 1/2 mile from our farm.
Lots of mouth-watering food available. Barbeque, slow smoked chicken, hit and miss ice cream, fresh baked goods and canned goods are just some of what to expect. ALL WELCOME, COME ONE AND ALL AND BRING YOUR FRIENDS.

Molasses, Agri-Tour farm attraction, (molasses made on location Saturdays Sept-Oct weather permitting),Agri-Tourist "Turn of the Century" farming attraction, antique tractors and equipment, Old General Merchandise Store, black smith shop, corn grinding, restored log cabins, country crafts, kick wheel pottery demonstrations, hit & miss engines, farming equipment on display, home grown in season fruits/vegetables, and much more. Sept-Nov.--Guided tours available upon request with reservations made in advance(weather permiting). Historial Mt.Harmony United Methodist Church is located 1/2 mile from farm site. It is the oldest Methodist church on the western side of the Catawaba River

Hwy 226, approximately 2.5 miles, north of Polkville,N.C. (Cleveland County). At the Five Points intersection, turn onto London Road, travel approximately 1.5 miles. The farm address (for you Mapquester's) is 5022 Brooks Chapel Road, Lawndale, NC 28090

This years Heritage Days Antique Tractor and Engine Show will take place October 3rd and 4th, 2009. Gates open to the public at 10am. Prices for the event are $5 at the gate; 12 and younger are free.
