A Century of Family Farming in Transylvania County

Brittany Whitmire & Andy VonCanon own and operate BusyBee Farm LLC, which is part of the Century Whitmire Farm in Transylvania County. Nestled along the French Broad River, BusyBee Farm relies on natural, environmentally-friendly, and time-proven practices to produce wholesome, healthy local food.
BusyBee Beef may be ordered directly from the farm by the side or by the piece - depending on customer preferences. Our beef may also be found at local restaurants and retail outlets listed below. BusyBee Farm wouldn't be complete without its hives of honeybees. Sourwood, Tulip Poplar, and Wildflower honey varieties are also available at local retail outlets in Brevard. In the summer, our sweet corn is grown free of spray and comes with a complimentary ear worm to prove it!
When customers purchase goods from BusyBee Farm, they know they're buying our best - and we've got 100 years of farming experience behind us. Our farm goods are "Appalachian Grown" and "Blue Ridge Grown" certified. We also participate in the French Broad Valley Voluntary Agricultural District. Support local agriculture!
