Important information! DUE TO EARLY SEASON CUSTOMERS THIS PAST WEEK, WE HAVE SOLD ALL CHRISTMAS TREES AVAILABLE FOR THIS YEAR, THEREFORE, WE ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THE SEASON! WE HAVE BEEN OVERWHELMED WITH THE BUSINESS WE HAVE RECEIVED AND HOPE TO SEE YOU AT THE FARM NEXT YEAR! Please read our website in its entirety as we want to provide you necessary information before your visit and info changes according to daily demand of trees! Nesbitt Christmas Tree Farm will open November 18th for the Christmas tree season. Our hours of operation are listed below but please visit our website often due to unestablished closing date. Please check this site as well as our Facebook page to see notices and announcements before making a trip to could lead to disappointment! Once we sell out of precut trees and sellable trees in the field, we will shut for the season in order to preserve trees for the 2018 selling season. May your holiday season be filled with joy, happiness, love and the blessings that our Savior so graciously provides us through his birth, death and resurrection! Merry Christmas!
The Nesbitt Christmas Tree Farm has been in operation for over 45 years. We originally shipped most of our trees on the wholesale market but found that the retail market allowed us to meet and greet repeat customers year after year, thus, we sell all our trees retail right here on our family farm!
We are both a "choose and cut" farm as well as pre-cut tree farm for those who do not want to walk and cut their own tree. We will be happy to assist you in cutting and hauling the tree up to load. Once we reach our designed number of choose and cut trees, we will only have precut trees available. Once that happens, we will update our website to announce this so check the morning before coming to visit. It is important to know that our farm is located in the mountains of Western North Carolina and sturdy shoes are necessary to walk around our mountain searching for your tree. If your family will be visiting in more than one vehicle, we appreciate parking extra cars at the church coming up the mountain and either riding in one or walking up. Our parking is limited and gets tricky, especially Thanksgiving weekend.
We do provide bow saws to cut with but for those who prefer to dig their tree, please bring your own shovel and burlap to ball your tree with. No personal chainsaw use is allowed.
Frazer Fir Christmas Trees, wreaths, table arrangements, kissing balls
We will have a limited selection of wreaths, arrangements and kissing balls. If you know in advance that you are needing these, please email me with your phone number and the number you will need of each item.
Take I-40 to exit 27. This will put you on Hwy. 74/19-23. Take exit 105 and at the bottom of the ramp/light turn left. At the next light turn right. This puts you on Hospital Drive. Past the Haywood Regional Medical Center you will see Mountain Medical Center where you will turn left onto Spicewood Drive. There will be signs directing you. Go approximately 200 yds. and turn left on the first road, Sunset Ridge. Proceed to the end of the road by following the signs. Please be advised that if you are pulling a trailer to haul your tree, we are limited with parking so it would be best to park it at the church you will pass on your way up and walk. We will assist you in getting your tree back to your car and/or trailer.
We will open November 18th! Weekdays 2:00 PM - dark. Saturdays 8:00 am until dark, Sundays 11 - dark. Thanksgiving holidays, Nov. 22nd - 26th we are open all day. We are open Thanksgiving Day which really is the best time to find the perfect tree and to avoid the crowds that visit on the Friday and Saturday following Thanksgiving. Before Nov. 18th, call ahead to schedule a time to come out; however, from the 18th on, we will follow the posted hours of operation. We do have a baler on site to bale your tree for easier transportation.
We prefer cash but we will take a credit card, however, there is a $3 additional fee to process either a credit or debit card. For payments over $100 the fee is 3% of the total bill.
Trees any size up to 10 feet: $45
