About the Commissioner's Food Safety Forum
The Commissioner’s Food Safety Forum is the event to discuss the future of food safety with the nation’s food safety experts, Congressional Delegation, industry leaders, regulators, public health officials, emergency management, and academia.
Sanitary transportation of food is an important step in the ensuring the public has access to a safe and abundant food supply. This year we will discuss technology available that assists in this process, and the issues and concerns that arise when transporting food. In addition, learn about the revolutionary technology of Whole Genome Sequencing and how it's basic foodborne pathogen identification during foodborne illness outbreaks may help reduce foodborne illness outbreaks in the future.
