About the Commissioner's Food Safety Forum

The Commissioner’s Food Safety Forum is the event to discuss the future of food safety with the nation’s food safety experts, Congressional Delegation, industry leaders, regulators, public health officials, emergency management, and academia.

The Food and Drug Administration has released for public comment the anticipated proposed rules coming out of the Food Safety Modernization Act. With sweeping reform coming to food safety regulation in the United States, join us as we discuss these proposals from the federal, retail, and farm-level perspectives.

Anyone interested in food safety is encouraged to attend and learn about these issues affecting food safety at all levels of the supply chain. In addition, producers can gather useful information that will help them become compliant with the upcoming regulations.

Additional Information

A breakout session with Dr. Ben Chapman and NCDA&CS Food and Drug Protection Division Supervisors will be held on developing food safety plans. The session will begin at 1:30 and will be held in the expo center. All attendees are invited to attend.
