Welcome to NCFarmID
NCFarmID is North Carolina's voluntary premises registration for animal traceability that allows for tracing a sick animal or group of animals back to the herd or premises which is the most likely source of infection, while also providing notification of potential disease threats before it spreads. Through premises registration, a unique national and state identification number will be assigned to locations in North Carolina where animals are born, managed, marketed or exhibited.
Information gathered through registration will be used solely for animal health purposes. This critical data will provide animal health officials with necessary contact information in case of an animal health concern and help identify animals and premises that may have been affected.
Please click on "Animal Identification" (on the navigation bar to the left) for the latest information about the Swine Transportation Bill and what you need to be in compliance by October 1, 2012.
As of July 31, 2012 there are 13,607 North Carolina
farms registered in the national database.
