BROILER-FRYERS: The North Carolina f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers for this week's trading is 60.00 cents based on full truck load lots of ice packed USDA Grade A sized 2 1/2 to 3 pound birds. 99% ohe loads offered have been confirmed with a preliminary weighted average of 58.91 cents f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is steady to steady/weakand the live supply is moderate to meet a moderate to light demand. Average weights are desirable to heavy. Estimated slaughter Friday in North Carolina was 2,726,000 head compared to 2,365,000 head last Friday. N.C. GRAIN: N.C. GRAIN: Yellow shelled corn was mostly two cents lower, ranging 2.43-2.72, mostly 2.45-2.58 at feed mills, and 2.17-2.37, mostly 2.17- 2.23 at elevators. No. 1 yellow soybeans were down three to three and one half cents, 4.75-4.80 at processors, 4.75-4.79 1/2, and 4.25-4.57 mostly 4.47-4.55 at elevators.Wheat was down four cents and ranged 2.18-2.52, mostly 2.18-2.27. New crop corn: 2.42-2.70; soybeans 4.53- 5.08; and wheat 2.42-2.48. Soybean meal (f.o.b.) at the processing plants was 151.20-156.20 per ton for 48 percent protein.
