RA_LS754 Raleigh, NC Tue May 14, 2013 USDA-NC Dept of Ag Market News WNC Regional Livestock Center, Canton, NC Weighted Average Auction Report Monday May 13, 2013 Cattle Receipts: 312 Last Week: 161 Last Year: 171 Slaughter cattle were 2.00 to 4.00 higher. Feeder cattle were mostly steady. Slaughter cows made up 27 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 5 percent, replacement cows 7 percent, other cows 1 percent, and feeders 60 percent. The feeder supply included 36 percent steers, 35 percent heifers, and 29 percent bulls. Near 22 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
