Live trades in Nebraska steady to .50 lower, dressed sales steady to 1.00 lower. Most commodity futures lower today following a lower financial market. Beef prices rebounded some this week in response to a lower kill. Boxed beef prices Friday morning averaged 184.12 up 3.52 from last Friday. The Choice/Select spread is at 4.58. Slaughter cattle on a national basis for negotiated cash trades through Friday afternoon totaled about 88,200 head. Last week's total head count was 132,371.
