May 20, 2013 USDA Market News SHELL EGGS: Daily National Egg Market-at-a-Glance Regional prices are 8 cents higher on Jumbo, 14 to 18 cents higher on Extra Large, 14 to 19 cents higher on Large and 8.5 to 11 cents higher on Medium and Small. New York prices are unchanged. Supplies are light to moderate for trade needs. Demand is light to mostly moderate, however retail demand in the Southeast is moderate to fairly good. Export demand in the South Central region is good. Market activity is slow to moderate. Offerings for breaking stock are light to moderate for the moderate to good demand. Light type hen offerings are at least sufficient; demand is light to fair.
