Black Sheep Club Lambs is a partnership of Rowan County club lamb producers: Jason Chester 704-213-1335, David Correll 704-202-9678, and Brad Johnson 704-798-2958. The combined flocks serve as a teaching flock for Rowan County Cooperative Extension and West Rowan High School FFA.
Our flock sires include: Black Sheep 0008, a Wallen 8028 son (Poison x JR/Sport) x Massey 2253 (Warlock x Altus). 8028 was Supreme Champion Ram at the 2010 NC Mountain State Fair, while 0008 was Supreme Champion Ram at the 2009 NC Mountain State Fair; And a Caesar x Smoky son/Shell 212 son bred by Dave Garrett (TX), that has sired numerous champions in eastern NC.
Ewes include: Reserve Supreme Champion Ewe 2010 NC Mountain State Fair; Grand Champion Suffolk Ewe 2010 NC State Fair and NC Mountain State Fairs; Supreme Champion Ewe 2009 NC Mountain State Fair (Open); Reserve Supreme Champion Ewe 2009 NC Mountain State Fair (Open); Two maternal sisters to the Reserve Champion Market Lamb 2008 NCSF; Reserve Supreme Champion Ewe 2008 NC Mtn SF and her dam; Supreme Champion Ewe 2007 NCSF, Grand Champion Ewe 2006 Rowan County Fair, and many more show winners and/or dams of champions. Pedigrees include: Berry Farms, Massey Club Lambs, Wheaton Hampshires, RCR Club Lambs, Winfrey Club Lambs, Cabaniss Club Lambs, McLaughlin/Griffin Sheep, N&H Club Lambs, and more.
