According to USDA, The total value of NC Agriculture Exports exceeded $3.7 billion in 2012, an increase of over 189% from 2005. Agricultural exports help boost farm prices and income, while supporting about 68,000 jobs both on the farm and off the farm in food processing, storage, and transportation.
