Fees and Charges
Effective Date: August 20, 2009.
This revised schedule of fees and charges supersedes
all other schedules issued by this agency.
Federal Grain Inspection Service (FGIS) must approve all fees for
official services and OA's will assess only those fees shown below.

Hourly Rate and Regular Hours: (Including travel time and sampling time): Twenty dollars ($20.00)
per hour per individual at the hours specified above per location with one-half hour allowed for a meal
on each shift. Monday through Friday EXCEPT holidays. All other hours will be considered
overtime.
Fees are calculated to the nearest one-quarter hour.
Overtime Hourly Rate: Thirty dollars ($30.00) per hour per individual assessed in one-quarter hour
increments. A six-hour minimum charge for all call backs will be assessed.
Holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July,
Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and all other days the Governor declares a holiday.
Holiday
hours will be charged at thirty dollars ($30.00) per hour.
Mileage Rate: Mileage will be charged at the IRS business prevailing rate for all miles traveled, calculated
to and/or from the nearest inspection point. Mileage will be prorated
when more than one firm is serviced
in one trip.
Per Diem: Current state rate plus mileage if personnel are required to remain away from
established inspection point over night.

Official Commercial Inspection is available to all applicants and will be negotiated on a case by case basis.
Service requests not covered by the above fees will be performed at the applicable hourly rate. Special
request testing not performed by the NCDA will be sent to the USDA FGIS for testing and assessed at their approved rates.
Charges for Processed Commodity Services under cooperative agreement with the Federal Grain Inspection Service will be at the agreed upon rate with USDA for each location.
An FGIS user fee of $0.011 per metric ton is included in the above mentioned fees.
