Midstate Mills, Inc. is a North Carolina company, family-owned and operated since 1935. The Company's primary business is that of wheat flour milling, corn milling, baking mix blending, and animal feed production. Our corporate offices, grain storage, milling, blending, packaging, R & D and distribution facilities are currently located in one complex in Newton, N.C. We also have a new plant in Wilson Mills, N.C. which is fully automated and includes the latest state-of-the-art equipment. This new plant is a bulk flour manufacturing unit with a wheat storage capacity of 600,000 bushels and a mill capacity of 10,000 cwts/24 hours.
In a single hour, our plant mills and blends enough flour to make : over 790,000 biscuits, or over 82,000 pound cakes, or enough corn meal to make : over 35,000 cornbread muffins, or 250,000 hushpuppies.
Midstate Mills serves a number of different markets with their products incluging commercial bakeries, foodservice distributors, national fast food accounts, and the wholesale and chain grocery trade.
Midstate Mills brands found in the retail grocery stores include Southern Biscuit Flour, Tenda-Bake Corn Meal and Redi Mix Mixes. Also, a number of the grocery store private label brands of flour, grits, and corn meal are produced by the company. Commerci
