2008 NC Days at WalMart

From July 1 through August 14, all 129 Wal-Mart supercenters in North Carolina were featuring NC agricultural products. Customized signs, displays and labels were utilized to highlight NC products. Sixteen supercenter locations had sampling events with Big Cart appearances. Twenty Goodness Grows in NC member companies participated in the sampling events. The campaign also included the "Got to Be NC Homegrown Concert Series" featuring Heidi Newfield at the Greenvill supercenter on August 8. The campaign was picked up by numerous news outlets across the country, including WSL.com and NYtimes.com. Participating companies have seen enhanced brand awareness and sales increases from the campaign.
