Junior doe winners named at Open Dairy Goat Show

FLETCHER – Exhibitors from across North Carolina and bordering states competed in eight divisions at Saturday’s Open Dairy Goat Show for the title of Grand Champion in the Junior Doe competition. Competition was open to the world for animals registered in the American Dairy Goat Association, American Goat Society, or the Canadian Goat Society. The Grand and Reserve Grand Champions from each division are:
- Nubian: Grand Champion – Jean Lucas, Pearisburg, VA; Reserve Grand Champion – Sonny Hunter, Heath Springs, SC
- Oberhasli: Grand Champion – Will Pearson, Braselton, GA; Reserve Grand Champion – Marjorie Burton, Leicester, NC
- Recorded Grades: Grand Champion – Danielle Kilby, Asheboro, NC; Reserve Grand Champion – Danielle Kilby, Asheboro, NC
- Toggenburgs: Grand Champion – Codie Younger, Nashville, NC; Reserve Grand Champion – Codie Younger, Nashville, NC
- Alpines: Grand Champion – Cassandra Lewis, Marshall, NC; Reserve Grand Champion – Sylas Owen, Marshall, NC
- LaManchas: Grand Champion – Melissa Bobbit, Cana, VA; Reserve Grand Champion – Anne Hutchens, Pearisburg, VA
- Nigerian Dwarf: Grand Champion – Robert Stranger, Raeford, NC; Reserve Grand Champion – Teena Bagwell, Clinton, SC
- Saanens: Grand Champion – Paula Reisdorff, Greensboro, NC; Reserve Grand Champion – Sonny Hunter, Heath Springs, SC
