Dixie Starlight Express performs pageantry on horseback

FLETCHER – The Dixie Starlight Express returns to the NC Mountain State Fair once again this year to perform their beautiful flag pageantry. The group of young cowgirls will put poetry in motion as they execute synchronized routines on horseback. Set to music, the show is an elegant display of grace and skill.

As usual, the group will perform their moving tribute on September 11 to honor America’s military service men and women, as well as remember those who were lost that tragic day in 2001. The show features a parade of patriotism with local law enforcement, firefighters, and emergency service personnel in attendance.

The Dixie Starlight Express will perform daily with shows beginning at 7:00 p.m. on weekdays and at 4:00 p.m. on weekends. There will be no shows on Saturday, September 12. More information can be found online at www.mountainfair.org or by calling the WNC Agricultural Center at 828-687-1414.
