Dixie Turf Toys make their first appearance at the farmers market!!! Beautifully restored lawn tractors and the gentlemen who restored them will be at the farmers market to display their pride and joy! Come out and enjoy looking at these masterpieces and talk to the gentlemen who own them. This is a fun event for the entire family.
 
These young men enjoyed their visit to the farmers market and were delighted with the Dixie Turf Toys display. Looks like two farmers in the making!!!
JULY
WATERMELON DAY - FRIDAY, JULY 9 -
11:00 AM UNTIL 1:00 PM
What is good on a hot and steamy summer day? Of course, sweet and juicy watermelon! Join us on this special day as we pay homage to the watermelon. The N. C. Watermelon Queen will be at the farmers market to greet visitors. Also, free samples of watermelon and lots of literature on watermelons will be available.

Mecklenburg County Extension Master Gardener (EMG) volunteers will be available in the Greenery Shed to provide research-based horticulture and environmental information and to answer your gardening and lawn care questions. In addition, your Master Gardeners will have an educational exhibit showing how easy it is to grow vegetables in your backyard or on your patio or terrace.

MECKLENBURG COUNTY MASTER GARDENERS FALL PLANT SALE

Join The Mecklenburg County Master Gardeners as they hold their annual fall plant sale. For sale will be a wide selection of annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees. The popular plant sale offers a wide and unusual plant selection of healthy, home grown plants ready for fall planting. Master Gardeners will be on hand to offer advice and answer garden questions.
CHARLOTTE HERB GUILD - SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 11

Talented members of the Charlotte Herb Guild will again be at the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market for their annual Herb Day sale beginning at 7:30 am. Fresh hand-tied Tussie-Mussies will be made on site for sale. There will be many other herbal items to buy such as lavender wands, herb themed handmade cards, clay tiles, herb plant markers and so much more.
