| ANNUAL MEETING INFORMATION AND PRE-REGISTRATION
2009 Southeastern Apple Growers Meeting

The 2009 Southeastern Apple Growers Meeting is rapidly approaching as 2008 comes to an end and the program and meeting arrangements are ready to go! The date for this year’s meeting is January 6-7 and we will be back at the Crowne Plaza Resort Asheville, NC. Please note that the meeting days are Tuesday and Wednesday. Over the past several years the hotel has undergone major renovations with upgrades to the rooms and hotel to make your stay even more enjoyable. Be sure to book your room early and let them know you are with the SE Apple Growers Meeting to guarantee a reduced rate. In addition to the two days of educational programs, commercial exhibitors, and entertaining banquet, is the opportunity to meet with other growers. The educational sessions will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6th and conclude on the afternoon of Wednesday, January 7th with the exhibits open both days. We will have our annual banquet on Tuesday evening, with after dinner entertainment.
This year's educational program includes speakers with a wide range of expertise from the Southeast. As in years past we will have an emphasis on topics of importance such as marketing and several presentations on farm and food safety which will affect all apple growers. We will also address topics such as cultivar selection and performance as well as many production and pest management related issues. We will also have a Proceedings provided for you when you register that will have material from the speakers with outlines or a summary of their presentations that can be used for taking notes as well as used as a reference during the year. Please take a look at the enclosed program to see the many topics that are going to be addressed. There is also an Auxiliary program with planned activities for those interested.
Registration for the 2009 Southeastern Apple Growers Meeting is $25.00 in advance or $40.00 at the door. The cost of registration will include lunch in the exhibit area on Wednesday, January 7th as well as a copy of the Proceedings. The banquet will be held on Tuesday evening, January 7th and the cost is $20.00 in advance or $30.00 at the door.

Or if you prefer you can U.S. Mail the form and payment to the NC Apple Growers at the address at the bottom of the pre-registration form.
