Agronomic Services — Strawberry Tissue Sampling, slide 2 of 8
Select a most recently mature trifoliate leaf.
Collect most recently mature trifoliate leaves (MRMLs). A trifoliate leaf is one that has
three blades per petiole. The MRML is 3 to 5 leaves back from the tip.
The MRML is full-sized and green. For routine tissue analysis, this leaf should not be damaged by stresses,
such as disease, insects or harsh environmental
conditions.
