At early growth stages when corn is greater than 12 inches tall

MRML for early-growth corn <12 inches tall. Collect the most recent mature leaf from 15 to 20 plants from
random locations in the field. This leaf will be the first fully
developed leaf below the whorl with a collar (a light-colored
"band" located at the base of an exposed leaf blade where it
is attached to the stem of the plant). Leaves within the whorl
have no visible leaf collar.
