Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler invites farmers and others interested in economics and ag policy to the twelfth annual Ag Development Forum. The event will take place Thursday, February 2, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Holshouser Building at the State Fairgrounds. Admission is free.
This year's forum features the Commissioner's annual "State of Agriculture" address, an agriculture economic outlook, a federal legislative update, and a discussion on the important role agriculture plays in emergency response.
Featured Speakers Include:
- Dr. Michael L. Walden, William Neal Reynolds Distinguished Professor, North Carolina State University
- Dr. Blake Brown, Hugh C. Kiger Professor and Extension Economist, Agriculture and Resource Economics, North Carolina State University
- Mr. Ray Starling, Chief of Staff for U.S. Senator Thom Tillis
Following the Forum, NCDA&CS will host an information session on new market opportunities in energy. More information on this sesion will be provided soon.
