NC SWCC Job Approval Authority
North Carolina SWCC Job Approval Authority (JAA) is the quality assurance process that ensures adequate consideration by competent employees in the planning, design, and installation of ALL best management practices (BMP) and technical assistance implemented through the NC Soil and Water Conservation Commission (SWCC), the Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD), Division of Soil and Water Conservation, and other conservation partners.
ELIGIBILE INDIVIDUALS
- SWCD Employees
- County Employees working in a SWCD
- NCDA&CS DSWC Employees
ACQUIRING SWCC JAA
- STEP 1: Recieve on-the-job training and gain experience in all aspects of planning, design, and installing a BMP
- STEP 2: Independently create two complete BMP JAA packages and demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities
- STEP 3: Submit an application, with JAA packages and signature pages to the DSWC for evaulation of technical competency
Individuals with NRCS JAA may also apply for SWCC JAA for comparable practice(s) by submitting an application form with proof of NRCS JAA for those comparable practices.
